In 1963 Angelo Goffi founded Italcanditi, a company manufacturing candied fruit and marrons glacés.
Over the course of the years the enterprise has expanded and continued to diversify its range to where it is now capable of catering to food and dairy industries with a complete range of products.

Research and development
One of Vitalfood's strengths is its continued commitment to the research of ever-new solutions in order to be able to offer its customers innovative and top class products. Vitalfood has an ultra-modern R&D centre with 6 laboratories equipped with avant-garde equipment, as well as having specialised personnel who work daily to develop plans aimed at satisfying each customer's individual needs. The customer can be accommodated for the time necessary to fine-tune the recipe of the desired product, working directly with the R&D department, with the guarantee of the utmost confidentiality. The company also has a pilot department for the study of the industrialisation and application stages of semi-finished products.
The whole industrial structure of the company is based on the well-established know-how and for the deep knowledge of the product itself. Each installation is designed and conceived ad hoc in order to satisfy in the best way each specific production need and to guarantee a high qualitative level of product.
